Light/Laser Therapy Treatments

PBM/LLLT: Photobiomodulation (PBM) formerly known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been around as an effective treatment method since the 1960's. At the Atlantic Center, we often use PBM/LLLT in a combination treatment with acupuncture to assist in wound healing, skin conditions, soft tissue injury, brain injury and for pain management.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is a movement practice created to help improve overall physical and mental well-being.

The slow gentle movements of qi gong help to warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles; tonify vital organs and connective tissue; and promote circulation of body fluids (blood, synovial, lymph). Studies have shown qi gong to be effective in helping to affect change in many conditions ranging from high blood pressure, to painful joints and mental/emotional stress. Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbal medicine is highly recommended in conjunction with acupuncture treatments as well as a stand alone treatment. As with acupuncture, we create a Chinese medical diagnosis through assessment of the patient's overall health and any conditions they may be dealing with. We then create a treatment plan incorporating Chinese herbal medicine to assist in continued healing between acupuncture sessions.
