Wine Allergy

“I went to Rob Balko for relief of an allergy to wine which I’ve had for many years. Not that I’m a big drinker, but I felt a little out of place in a social setting when everyone was drinking wine and I was drinking a soft drink. Post Surgical Pain

After radiation therapy for prostate cancer, I was in extreme pain and needed to catheterize every time I needed to urinate. I was in terrible pain - it felt like broken razor blades were inside me. During my first treatment I started to feel better and over the next few weeks I was able to use the bathroom without using a catheter. Fibromyalgia

[I was] diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a local rheumatologist seven years ago. The pain and discomfort is triggered by stress, weather changes and fatigue. As a school teacher, stress and fatigue is a constant factor in my life. This condition was becoming too much a part of my life and I knew that I needed to try additional treatment plans. My life was being controlled by the fibromyalgia and I was looking for a way to master it!

Smoking Cessation

I hate to say it but I started smoking when I was nine years old, over thirty five years ago. I’ve attempted several methods in order to stop smoking. Prescriptions pills, self hypnosis, hypnosis, cold turkey (OUCH), jump up and down backwards on one foot with a chicken over my head. Yes I’ve tried quite a few options numerous attempts at each one of them and naturally spent a lot of money. Despite pending medical conditions that physicians’ insist would only worsen and do have the definite potential of becoming fatal, nothing worked.

Needless to say, I was at the end of my rope and willing to try anything and I’m sure many of you can relate…

Then I ran across The Atlantic Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine – Rob Balko here in Ocean Township. I can only thank the Power’s That Be I did!

The procedure is relatively quick and most definitely painless. I’m guaranteed that if at any time I feel I’m about to slip all I have to do is call, which is a real comfort knowing that support is always there.

Insomnia

I came to The Atlantic Center for Acupuncture in the beginning of April 2007. My main cause for concern was that I wasn’t sleeping; it was caused by a tragedy in my life a year and a half before.

I had tried every over-the-counter and prescription sleep aid I could find. I had seen tons of doctors, who all said the same thing; I would eventually start to sleep again. After seeing Rob at The Atlantic Center he was sure he could help me. Well, at least one of us was! The first week I slept 3 nights, and over the next few weeks I began sleeping more and more.

Now I am sleeping 7 nights a week for at least 8 hours without any sort of aid, just my weekly acupuncture appointment. Not only am I sleeping again, but my days we filled with more energy. I can not ever thank him enough for giving me my life back
