Pain is worse if it inflicted intentionally?
Thursday, December 25th, 2008A recent study asserts that pain, when inflicted intentionally, feels worse then if it was an accident. An article in The New York Times reports that a study, published in a recent issue of Psychological Science, shows that people feel pain as being worse when someone is inflicting it versus it being random or unintentional. It would be interesting to run a study that tests acupuncture given by a caring and compassionate person versus being administered by a mechanical robot!
